Conditions of participation

– The minimum age for participation in this program is 7 years old, children must be able to swim, and must be accompanied by a legal guardian for minors. Children taking part in the cruise are the sole responsibility of their parent(s) and may under no circumstances be entrusted to the care of the crew or our instructors during a snorkeling trip or to the adults accompanying them.

– All participants must be in good health, know how to swim and be able to swim in the sea. If not, a medical certificate authorizing participation will be required.

– Disabled or dependent persons must be accompanied by a carer. This person can accompany several participants, depending on their degree of autonomy.

If you’re not very confident in your swimming skills, you’ll be asked to wear a lifejacket, which the boat will provide.

Additional costs

In addition to your cruise and your flights, plan :

– 25 Euros for the entry visa to Egypt

– 50 Euros approx. to tip the crew at the end of the cruise. This tip is not compulsory, but is indeed customary on cruises. The crew go to great lengths throughout the cruise to ensure that you have a wonderful stay, and the tip is very much appreciated, especially to supplement their very low income.

– 100 Euros for any expenses you may incur, such as diving lessons, drinks during transfers, souvenirs and other expenses.

Compulsory insurance

Before departure, all participants must check that they are covered by assistance/repatriation and accident insurance.

For example, you can obtain 1 month’s cover from l’EUROPEENNE, at a cost of approx. 60.00 –
Make sure you take out cancellation and repatriation insurance in good time, so that the cover is valid for your cruise and your plane tickets.

Your journey to the boat (flight and transfer)

On the plane or at the arrival airport, you’ll find a small form for entering Egypt, on which you should write your name and passport number. This form must be handed in at customs, together with your passport and visa. The visa will be purchased on your entry into Egypt, at the airport counter for 25 Euros. This is a simple procedure, involving a sort of entry fee stamp, which we stick in your passport.

Once through customs, you collect your luggage and join the transfer bus. A clearly marked “Dolphin Lagoon” guide will direct you to the transfer bus.

I’d like to point out that these procedures for entering the country are very straightforward and very relaxed. Egyptian airports have made real progress in making holidaymakers feel comfortable and welcome.

Full board

Cruises are offered on a full-board basis. This includes non-alcoholic beverages and 3 meals a day. For those who wish, it is perfectly possible to purchase a bottle of alcohol in a duty-free shop at the departure airport. This usually makes for a convivial aperitif at the end of the day.

Transfers between the airport and the boat are not included in the full-board package. For those departing on a flight from Hurghada, please allow a few euros for a meal break on the way.
